You have indeed captured this beautiful butterfly well, and I also like very much the dream like background with the delicate light green and yellow colors. When it is as soft as this the butterfly is standing out in an excellent way.
Your focus is spot on and sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen both in the wings and body. I am especially impressed about how well we can see the curled proboscis. I also think the exposure is perfect.
The format you have cropped the photo into works well, and the butterfly has got a very good placement within the frame. I think this is a beautiful and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Wonderful initial impression; this is a beautiful butterfly with the black and white wings with that gorgeous red and brown detail , nice focus , clear to view, beautiful detail in the wings and the body , well exposed bringing forward the natural colors, I love the yellow flower the butterfly has landed on . Blurred background pushes the butterfly forward for a good look without distractions! This is beautiful work and a pleasure to view! Best wishes to you in the contest!
