Hey Cleo! This is a great work of art you have presented here. The use of light and color are both spot on. All of the details in the shadows as well as the highlights both stand out well. The birds position is intriguing and catches the viewers eye. Job well done here!

Another beauty Cleo! The color choices are very realistic, as is the entire design of the scene. Not quite as much detail in the sparrow as I've seen in some of your other works, but it is still a beautiful painting.

I do not want to get to photo-realistic. I wanted to show the motion. I painted it after a scretch I made as I have seen it through the window. :o)

This is lovely Cleo. I think you made the sparrow look gorgeous. The entire painting is very realistic in spite of that not being your goal :) I don't think you can help it with your talent! The motion comes across very well. I enjoy how much the textures stand out, making the paint properties three dimensional.

(Should the bird's leg on the viewer's right be momentarily be touching down on something though, since the left is resting on the feeder? ) The pose and motion in the wing is great. Feeder and leaves are very believable. The bird too is very believable. ( I wonder if the leg were in closer to the body it would be more believable. This just might be my opinion. ) Nice work! This is a lovely composition done with digital painting. I think you made the right choice in showing a slightly blurred wing motion as the sparrow eats from the bird feeder. Colors are great and the brush strokes and to the feel of motion. Good luck in the contest!
