I think this turned out really cool. The illuminated area looks like a big mass of richly textured clouds which I really like. The outline edges of the landscape make an interesting pattern and the silhouettes of the trees look great.

Thank you, Envision, it was quite a surprise when it turned out this way and I think I like it.

I actually was just looking for a couple images to review and yes, the first one I stopped at was this one because it is so intriguing. I like the hill line with the jagged rocks and small tree. What it made me think of is the experience I have had of a encountering a bright phenomena on a moonless night -- "you go what the heck!" Maybe you should experiment some more with your "phenomenal" photography! Daphne Oberon

for not what you were trying for, you created a unque photo.
the lonely tree adds to the darkness of the photo.
looks like mist from the waterfall was captured.
great job.

What a wonderful creation you have here, like the details in the tree, that have been enhanced by the back light, like the dark soroundings and the most from the falls looks like smoke , very creative work,
A pleasure to look at, thank you for sharing, dale

The falls really draw the viewer in , it's intriguing that here they are the only source of light, I like the way they define the shape of the crags and the line tree. This is well composed with a nice placement of the lit falls in the off centered position . Well presented, best wishes to you in the contest!

I have occasionally moved the black point to drop out night skies in shots, but this is a whole other story. I like the silhouetted cliff and the tree is very nice. I might crop a little off the left and top to see how it looks.
