What an adorable capture of avian love! The subtle color in this image is so intriguing and draws the viewer in to see how these two robins just look at each other. I think it's a fantastic image and I don't see the flaws you mentioned!
Pleasure to view!

What a wonderful picture.
Nature at it's best. The orange helps to bring out the eyes. I imagine the conversation between them might be.
It's your turn to get up with kids.
Thank you for sharing.
Good luck.

Nice capture here Susan. This pair makes for a great nature shot. Yes the scene is a bit busy but I think that your image tells a true story of life and how everything works exactly as it was designed to. Good work here Susan ~ Steve

Steve,
Thanks a million for your complementary review & for understanding that the Robins do not always pose against the most photogenic backgrounds but where they feel safe to display to one another.
They've not heard of a Photographer's studio!!!

pity the birds are almost on the busy background, the focus should be on then and the branches should be more blur
nice story telling and composition
thanks for sharing

Galia,
Why bother.

Personally I think the focus on the birds must be amazingly good to enable one to see them so clearly among those similar colored branches! The lighting is good too. I love the sweet pose and very nice, smooth detail. My admiration! Daphne Oberon

Mary,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on these courting European Robins that are Old World Flycatchers rather than the American Robin which is a member of the Thrush family of birds & twice the size of our Robins.

Wow. Thank you for educating me on these beautiful European robins. Learn something everyday!

A very nice shot. I think your depth of field has carried the day but in my opinion the jumble of branches at the top could be substantially reduced.

I think you robins are prettier than the American robbin!
I amazed that they held still long enough to let you photograph them.
I like your title...it made me laugh.

Whatever faults your shot may or may not have its still a good and enjoyable photo! Your nice image benefits from being nicely composed, well exposed and sharp overall. Nice,y taken!
