This pose shows off that long tail so well and you did such a nice job getting a sharp shot of that eye. The lighting is very flattering and shows off the multicolored feathers nicely.

I can honestly say I never saw one of these Great- Tailed Grackles. Before. A Boat tailed...but not this kind. Nice capture with fine eye clarity and now we exposed on the bird.
Love that looooooong tail.
Beautiful colors on him along with that yellow eye.

What a lovely photograph! You really seem to have captured the birds personality here.

The photograph is clear, very detailed amd seems balanced overall. I think the colors are great as well.

All in all, this is a great photo and contest entry.

Sorry but looks a bit out of focus to me. Also the part of the concrete bench is dominating the main subject. Try crop the bench and also try sharpening for better results. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your critical review. I do not see any un-sharpness, but will check my upload. This is not a bench. It is a bird feeder.

Thank you for your kind comments. He won't attack me, He is waiting that I feed him some of my sandwich.

YThis is a fine shot of the great tailed Gracle. Excellent sharpness and framing. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked well. Good luck in the contest!

Makes one wonder when folks say "he was showing his tail" (meaning acting up) did they get that terminology from this bird...lol. the clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this big tail bird is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

He is a handsome fellow! Great photo showing the arresting physique and plumage on this rather statuesque blue-black bird with the feather duster tail! Good luck in the contest! Daphne Oberon
