Amazing capture of this bird, one like I have not seen before this up close. At first I thought it was a statue because of its unusual long tail. This is really a rare sight for me and has beautiful detail and fantastic eye clarity. The deep color really is striking and I think this will be a great contender in the contest. Best wishes!

Great photo of this grackle, iridescent coloration in his plumage is well captured, along with that bright yellow eye that pops against his dark feathers.Almost looks like he is purposely posing for you, showing off his wonderfully long tail, giving him a very streamlined look.Wish you the best in the contest!

He looks very impressive. Kind of a big guy! Great presentation and shallow DOF. The lighting is perfect and brings out the nuances of the colors in the bird. Excellent framing. Good luck in the contest!

A beautiful picture of this male Great -tailed Grackle perched on the top of a stone pillar head slightly turned to get a better look at you with it's golden eyes, the light catching the iridescence on his dark Plumage. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

A very nice perch this bird has chosen. It hints at the Mexican origin of the bird. A beautiful grackle with sharp eye and nice detail in the black plumage. Best of luck in the contest.

I forgotten how big these birds can get. The gold eye really stands out.

Good depth of field.

Like how you left space in front of the bird.

Good luck in the contest.
