You got so close!! Very nice. The position of the face and the eye contact is great. The sharpness of the eye looks good too. The markings of the feathers stand out well and the background color is lovely.

Quite a nice nature shot posted here! Your full and almost central composition offers us an enjoyable look at your lovely young hawk. Like that gleaming eye. Exposure and sharpness are good. I just thing there is too much background noise for my tastes. Otherwise, nice photo!

This is a gorgeous bird, well focused, the image is clear, well placed within the frame allowing a good close look, nice capture of the eye ! I see a bit of a greenish hue near its beak, and on its breast. I also see a lot of noise in your background. I appreciate your effort very much!

Thanks so much for your very kind review,I 'm glad you enjoyed this image, I've always wanted to get a nice. Photo of a hawk and I was real lucky with this youngster and am very grateful it cooperated and I was able to get some great shots!

A beautiful specimen and an outstanding pose. The eye is remarkably sharp considering how soft the feathers are. It makes for an attractive combination. Best of luck in the contest.

Very intense!! I like the profile of this guy. The feathers are so individualized and distinct. The background really highlights the hawk. I can't tell where you edited out the branch which is a compliment. The lighting is just right. There is just one thing that draws my eye that I wish it wouldn't. The orange color next to the breast of the hawk needed to be blended in a bit more.

You really captured the intense hawkish look of this young raptor! The feather details are good and the light in his eye is a bonus. I'm assuming that you had to do a severe crop which causes the background a little noisy. I like how you framed him. Good luck in the contest.
