A great entry into the Birds Art Contest. So beautiful how the Heron has it's wings outstretched. Gorgeous color palette with beautiful use of highlights and shadows. So many elements working for your in this art work. The crashing of the waves, reflection on the water, and your brush strokes and blending and shading of colors. This is outstanding. Contemporary with a realistic tone. I love the wing spread and can feel the bird stretching. The sun lit tops of its wings, the reflection in the water of the sun, the landscape all come together with the bird as the focal point. Well done !

This is a very cool painting. I love these types of birds. The mixture of watercolors and acrylics add nice bright colors. I do wonder what it looks like without the tech filters. Good luck in the contest.

A beautiful picture of this Heron shaped bird it's wings held out as if creating shadows on the water. So it can see beneath it's surface in the wing's shadow. The colours throughout the colours you have used are those of sunset where it's golden rays add a golden orange red hue onto everything it touches. Created by your artist's eye for composition, beautiful choice blending & application of your colours assisted by some digital techniques, in bringing this scene to life.
