This is great Steve! The colors have an attractively rich saturation that is not overdone and you captured the steam so nicely. It just looks like a beautiful place to see - I do need to get there at some point :)

This is really a spectacular site. I have stood right where you stood in this shot. Amazing. You captured the beauty of this place really well. The colors are awesome. I love how you captured the steam blowing across the frame of the image. Really nice!

Thank you so much Donna. Yes I love Yellowstone. It is one of my favorite places. I grew up 90 miles from the park and we used to camp their a lot. I hope to go back this coming Summer. Thank you Donna for your review and comments ~ Steve

You were lucky to live so close. We went for the first time 3 years ago and then again this spring. I can?t believe we waited so long. It is one of the most amazing places I have ever visited. :)

Oh, this is gorgeous! I just love the way the fog is hoovering around the mountains and the deep blue sky really sets this off. Thanks for sharing.

This is a beautiful composition, with great contrast of colours. The orange in the forground with the steam rising is almost surreal. Are those burnt trees in the background? You have a great eye!

Thank you so much Michele for your review and comments. No the trees in the background are just dark. They are not burned. Thank you again Michele ~ Steve

This is beautiful.
Love the colors. I can definitely see this put in a frame. I'd like to see more detail.
But it works. It kinda looks like lava.
Very nice

Thank you so much T. Kay (sorryI don't know your first name). Yellowstone is one of my favorite places as I was raised 90 miles away and went there often growing up. I hope to go again next summer. Thank you for your encouraging review and comments ~ Steve

This reminds me of when I visited Rotorua in New Zealand where they have spectacular hot springs. I like the angle you used for this, Steve, with the steam rising, looking like a cloud that's dropped from the sky. Very good lighting and focus showing a nice clear image. Great composition. Suzanne

A belated Happy Birthday to you,Steve, hope you had a fantastic day! This is a "cool" shot of a hot spring, has a very abstract, artsy feel to it with variations in color and textures that you have captured in this very alien looking landscape. The angle of your shot leads us to the peak in the far corner, dark against the brilliant blue sky;the coolness of these colors separated from the warm ones emanating from the springs by the rising curtain of steam. A very enjoyable photo! :) LeeAnn

Happy Birthday Steve! Just found out today! Hope you had a GREAT one!

One thing I found very interesting with this shot is if you cut the top half off you could imagine this as the sun with its molten lava, Anyway you look at it it is definitely interesting and a lot of fun to view. I have to say you take shots of the most interesting places! Very Very Cool! :o) Nancy

Thank you Nancy for your review and comments. You are right - this could be molten lava if there was no horizon. Yellowstone is one of my favorite places. Thanks again Nancy. And thank you for the Birthday wishes ~ Steve
