Excellent choice of a RED subject.
Aptly captured for the contest theme...

Exquisite tribute.
Impeccable presentation.

Sharply focused.
Selective coloring.
Duotone masking background colors to give utmost focal attention on the main subject.

Impressive entry. Potential voters choice...

Best of luck in the contest!
Thanks for sharing...

    Welcome!

A very moving & fitting tribute to ALL the young men who answered to call to join up many young men below the age of 18 tried & in some case succeeded in signing on...thinking they would have an adventure, see the world & be home by Christmas? The image on the Church made out of Red Poppies is beautiful. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Good luck in the Contest.
Susan

I think I'm looking at the winner of the contest here! Great use of light and shade, good presentation, and clear, sharp lines. Stunning work.

A very appropriate image, for this time of the year, posted here into the competition! Wonder where in the world you got it? Must have taken a fair bit of work to create this remembrance! Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

Very powerful initial impact, the selective color works very well to show the unknown soldier, it's very sad to think that after the sacrifice , that anyone would remain unknown! This is well photographed with good focus, the image is clear, exposure is well handled, good tonal range on the black and white. Well composed and presented!

thanks Pat for the good comments, there are many servicemen in both wars buried in graves with no name, and also there are many that lay in the fields in Europe who were never found, tragic

This is a high impact image that should do well in the contest. I love how you did the soldier in red with selective color. The framing and angle of the shot is creative. Love it and best of luck to you in the contest.
