I know this is an old post, but I just had to view it and comment. You captured sharp detail of the intricacies of this web so nicely. I would be terrified to see something like this in front of my door! Especially knowing that it's creator is not far away. I would have had to brave it up though to take pictures :) I like the extra bit of texture that the screen adds to the web too.

Thank you for looking in my portfolio and finding this. I'm honored you would take the time to do that! I was scared too, especially because this web is one of those BIG orb garden spider. It was not in the web at the time and it was just to good to pass up getting a picture of it. I would have really freaked out if that spider ended up crawling on me. Thank Goodness that didn't happen! LOL Thanks for the wonderful review Envision. :o) Helvi

Really cool find outside your group not door! Have to say I be all ick and Ugh!
But the rain offered diamond like drops and your screen gave it a nice texture.
So... Its very cool Sweet Helvi!

Hi Sange, I wouldn't want the spider of this web crawling on me! I do think webs are beautiful though. I'm glad this web didn't scare you away! Thanks My Friend for the wonderful review! :o) Helvi

A beautiful capture of the spider web. I like your play with light and shadows creating depth and interest in your photography. Very well photographed with good lighting, sharp focus and excellent details and clarity in your image. Nice readable storytelling with your image. I am glad you found this in the day.....and did not walk through the web not seeing it in the dark. Nice work and thanks for sharing! Great artists notes!

A very nice looking web that shows up pretty well against this dark background. The morning dew compliments the web quite nicely. Best of luck in the contest.

Looks like a pretty good entry into competition posted here! That web of yours looks and sounds huge. Reckon my wife would have screamed our house down had she come across web like yours! Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

Hi Nik, I have to admit finding a web like this in front of my door is not on a list of something I wanted to see. ....but it was there and I couldn't resist getting a shot of it. Glad you liked it and thought it was a good entry for the contest. Thanks for stopping by to review.

I thought viewers would like to know how the image came about. This is the only time anything like this ever happened to me. I'm so glad I was able to catch it on film. I'm also happy it rained out and captured those beautiful H2 O diamonds. Thanks for the wonderful review and wishes for the contest.

A beautiful picture of this "liquid Diamond" encrusted Spider's web carefully positioned to cover your entrance & catch any flying insect or Human not watching where they were going. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & razor sharp focus.

Hi Susan, Thank you for the lovely review. I loved the delicate drops of water on the web. You don't often have something like this dropped in your lap. As a photographer I loved it but as a normal person having a large spider build a web in front of your door was a little hair raising. Glad you enjoyed it too !
