The sharp details you have captured, especially at the center of the flower are impressive. The colors of the blossom are intriguing and well emphasized by the green of the leaves and the neutral background. The side view of the blossom is intriguing.

Lovely capture of this pretty Dahlia with a bonus spider on the petal on the right.
The clarity and colors are superb with a non distracting background.
Fine work Pat ;)

Vibrant capture of a radiant bloom!
Fantabulous vantage point.
Harmonious colors.
Unique backdrop color!
What is it?!?

Sharply focused.
Fine floral features & soft velvety textures.

Great illumination with no blown out whites!

Nice perspective & narrow DOF.

Thanks for sharing...

Wow still blooming in October? This is is a beauty.
I love the multi toned petals.
They contrast so well from the whites to the light pink and darker as each petal grows longer. The yellow center is enhanced by the yellow back ground.
A pleasure to view.
A real eye catcher.
Thank you for making the world a more beautiful place with your spectacular photos and amazing gardens.

It must be in a pot. Down here the dahlias never last that late. I can see why you grow this variety though... the flower is fantastic. A fine shot with beautiful colors.

Thanks so much! Yes my Dahlias are in containers, we normally get a killer frost in late September , this year it was late October!

Nice angle
The fine focus gives lovely detail of this many shades of pink and lemon flower .like the leaf left in ( sorry but find the background colour overpowers the flower ,,, maybe a paler lemon ,,just my thoughts ) on saying that the flower is stunning thanks

Pat,
A beautiful picture of your late blooming Dahlia with deep pink tipped white petals standing out in contrast to the yellow wall behind it. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
