Very interesting artists notes, this is a beautiful statue, it's a beautiful memorial tribute to honor those who served, this is well photographed to show two views of this statue and the people who come to see it every day. Well focused , the images are clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural. Well composed, arranged and presented!

    Pat,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on the Haunting WW One Soldier in St Stephens Green on loan from a foundry in Somerset in England for the few weeks leading up to the 100year anniversary of the end of World War One. To honour the many young Irishmen that joined up & lost their lives in the War & those that survived & returned to an unwelcoming Ireland...Thankfully these men are NOW receiving the long won respect they deserved....at least their grandchildren are now able to show what they've always felt.
I understand some of the US returning Vietnam Veterans were meet with similar reactions on their returned home after serving in Vietnam.
I took this picture after the closing cermonies in the Green when a Piper played the Last Post as the sun was setting. It had just set when I took the pictures.

When shooting birds I almost always strive to get closer and show the subject in more detail, however I prefer the wider view on the left in this pair. I think all those disembodied heads make a great foreground.

Thanks a million for your complementary review on the Hauntings Soldier. It was an impressive sight.
It's being taken down today & returned to the foundry where it was made Somerset in the West of England.

    Robert,
Thanks a million for your review on the Haunting Soldier.
I spoke to several retired soldiers their chests arrayed with medals their own their father;s & grandfather's.
My grandfather & his brother were both lost the First World War.

I like this picture. I like the history of it. Nothing is a real as visiting a statue or a gave of someone that fought for his country. Thank you for sharing it with us.
