Lovely composition of snow flocked trees.Gray of the background, and, snow,in the foreground invite the viewer into the scene.

Winter certainly has arrived. This looks as if a blizzard just came through. How the snow stuck to the trees is impressive. The strong contrast between the white snow, light gray sky and dark wood is especially intriguing. The diagonal placement of the trees is eye-pleasing. The tall format emphasizes the straight grow of the trees. The photo is well framed and balanced.

The high key approach does work for this, maybe a bit more detail in the snow would have been better, but think so difficult to do,but do like the vertical approach in this, good winter scene...Brian

Brrr! That's too cold for me. But it is a beautiful photo since I'm sitting inside and warm. Exposure is great - well managed with the snow. Also a well composed photograph. Nice job Lise

Lise,
A beautiful picture of this bone chilling winter scene snow falling, bare branched trees with snow clinging to both the branches & the trunks on the windward side the background blurred by falling snow. Artistic composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
Best of luck in the contest.
Susan

I like the framing of the trees and the snow that is clinging to them. The light color you chose works well and creates a feeling of coldness. Well done.

A very nice entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and dramatic composition grants us a chilly look at your very cold looking location. Wonder where in the world you took this lovely winter scene? Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!
