I love this painting. I love the colors in it. Even though you see a lot of blotchiness from the paint strokes though see the image details. I can see this painting in a hospital hall walls. Great job

Thank you for your review your comments much appreciated the blotchiness i think is the way i handle the pallet knife and it is part of my way of expression to be loose my other work is more detailed usually in acrylics and watercolour. This is one of 3 in an experiment to try a different style. I found your remarks encouraging and helpful as an insight to what others see. Again thank you. And welcome.

This is wonderful ! I love the scene and the light and shadows are so very well shown! This couple walking on the path in the rain, the path is reflecting the colors in such a magical way! This is very well rendered and beautiful to view! Well presented! Best wishes to you in the contest!

I am so happy you liked this. It's one of a series of 3 and was, at the time, experimental with oils, It moves a bit away from my usual so I really appreciate your remarks. Thank you for your time to review.

a very lively painting, with lots of colours, lines and thoughts going on here. The size of the trees is confirmed by the size of the two people. The rain is magnified by the wet paths and the leaves are probably shuddering down droplets and the lights cast brightness all over the central scene in an almost magical fashion.

Thank you a lovely expressive review much appreciated. This work was done as a bit of a fantasy illustration of a local wood... it stsrted to be Gullivers forest so the scenery was big and the people Lilerputlians. I was trying to get away from my usual style. I like using pallet knives and oil but finding drying time and fumes a problem.

This is a beautiful painting! I love the composition and the colors! Light and shadows are the main part of the piece! Please check how your notes appear. I notice when I do description on my Laptop and copy it to the post it scrambles some of the symbols. I wish I had one 6* left for this post. Good luck in the contest! ! !

Thank you so much for your comolimentary review. I had a look at my notes and could not believe it. It was hard to alter back every time I pressed the space bar it made a new line instead of a space so retyped it. Thanks for suggesting I looked at this.

I have never seen the lamps come on in a forest, it must be a beautiful sight if this painting is any measure. I like the rendering of the light and its reflection, but think the path is so wide it looks more like a super highway.

Thank you. Your review much appreciated. This is the remanants of an ancient wood/forest called Jesmond Dene and the workers made short cuts through so the main pathway is lighted and now can take a car though rarely. A bit of distortion I have to admit. HaHa my artistic licrnse comming out. Loved your remarks. .

Wow this is beautiful, the people add motion and depth, like the way you have created a wet walkway and a reflection of the colorful trees,
A pleasure to look at, thank you for sharing, and good luck in the contest, dale
