This is not as way out as you might imagine, whilst I was teaching in India, I went for a break from the hot weather up to Nanital. Sitting on my veranda overlooking the main stalls and shops, a troop of monkeys arrived on the scene to play on the corrugated iron roofs, making them wobble and some decided to come up to the veranda and steal the neighbours sugar and biscuits he had left on a table in front of his room. You should have seen the mess they left!! your thieves in your interesting, colourful picture appear to be much more restrained and careful in their 'thievery' but then it is not thieving to them, it is retrieving!

Thank you for review, I was really interested in your comments. This pic is 1 of 5 From my fantasy collection. This one was inspired by a friend who sent a postcard from Nicaragua that had the thatched terrace. The rest was my imagination however my friend said there were a family of peacocks that were always on the look out for stealing food near his hotel. My imagination did the rest.

Your work is not quite as polished as some, but I so love the content and feel of it!! In fact, I almost prefer the "rustic" style with slightly wobbly perspective -- it adds to the genuineness. What this displays for me is infinite heart and atmosphere - oh those beautiful naughty peacocks! In "my book" you have captured the most difficult and intrinsically natural aspects of great art; personality. I really love this and apologize for not noticing it before. I have hardly been doing any reviewing lately. My loss!!.. Have a very happy time! Daphne Oberon

This is a tremendous review thank you so much and your rating. My style I think has never been photorealistic but chases characturistc and almost cartoon in some instances yet I like detail and responsibility. . It's my interrpretation. I like humour also. I am interested in your comments on polish. I am always learning and when i look back over my earlier work it is more detailed yet i see it is not ???

I never replied to your question as to what I meant by polish. Well, I wouldn't worry about it. I am referring to slightly exaggerated perspective and slightly wobbly contours, but your work is very okay as is. I like it how it is; it is very genuine. I wouldn't worry about it. Daphne Oberon

Very good entry for the contest - great storytelling ability showing the bathers quite oblivious to the fact that the cheeky Peacocks are stealing their lunch. This is a very humorous piece and very well thought out. The different angles within the painting lead the eye to various details which are well painted. Very eye appealing and pleasant to view. Attention to details are excellent as well as color scheme.

Many thanks for your review. Yes i have heard the raucus noise these guys can make. I think they are beautiful when they raise their tail fan which i tried to work into this but it wasn't right hence just their heads. Lol. Thanks for your good luck wishes.

Thank you for your review. I am a littke puzzled at your rating its the lowest i have ever had. Especially as you seemed to enjoy the artwork. Its quite normal when a low rating is given to indicate what might be done to improve the work. Or what you felt was not good for you.
