Quite an interesting nature shot posted here! Both of those eagles seem to displaying ferocious expressions. Wonder what killed the otter? Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely taken!

It made me sick to my stomach to watch it! However, when an Otter has two babies, it will only care for one, it abandons the second one, so this was probably the abandoned one.

Never knew that about heartless mother otters!

I didn?t know either but there are a lot of otters in Homer and a lot of eagles too! I guess this s is the circle of life and survival .

I love eagles. The young eagle is adorable and has such an alert look. Their details show up very well. I also like the rock filled background. Lighting is good also. A joy to view.
