Nice feeling in this shot. It is very peaceful. Unique to see cows grazing with ocean in the background. Nice light on the cows and the grass and, the horizontal composition works really well. Thanks for sharing.

Your kind review is appreciated!

I've never seen this beautiful breed of all-white cows before. They are lucky to be freely grazing in clean open spaces, as opposed to the dairy farms I used to see in California. Beautiful shot!

Very many thanks for your nice review!
Comment from Danielle Andrukitis
Hey there! Good job on this. I like the title; it's perfect! I like the lighting. Its bright and cheery, but not washed out. Always cool to be able to see nature so clearly.

Glad you enjoyed my photo and very many thanks for your kind review!

I think this is so unusual a shot that it brings up so many questions involving the scene. The colors are just spectacular and the cows similar but different really add interest to a landscape that otherwise might not be all that cool. Well done.

I am grateful for your kind review!

This is interesting. No need for a fence with the cliff. It is a little unusual seeing this kind of background for me as most cows I see are in a pasture with rolling hills and fences.
Good job!

In Ireland there are no rules! Very many thanks for your kind review!
Comment from Lucien van Oosten
I like the idea behind the composition, showing a tranquil Irish country side.
I do think that the image would have been better if the rule of thirds had been followed in setting up the shot, or in the manipulation of the shot in photo shop. That way there would have been a little more foreground, and a little less at the top; in my opinion making for a more balanced composition over all.
The horizon line being slightly tilted is not a issue for me. I do think that the background, the ocean having been a little bluer, rather than gray, would have made the image bolder and given some nice separation of color values between mountains and ocean. That would also have made for the grasses to pop a little (as a Analogous color scheme) and added to the perspective, and depth of the Photo.
Those are reasons for me giving it a less than 5 rating, even though the cows coloration are unique in appearance.

I am very grateful for your very detailed and detailed review!
Comment from Artistic Chick
I'm not sure that I've ever seen a white cow, much less two. Are they as rare as white buffalo? It's so crisp in the foreground and draws me in to the background, wondering if its water, or where the cows already ate the grass? I wasnt sure what camera you used on this shot. I've used all of those as well. I suppose I'll have to visit my family' home and of Ireland to see a white cow. I'm still finding myself drawn back to look at that background again.

Yes over here in Ireland, the UK and Europe there are plenty of white cows! Cannot comment on buffalos as a Brit I know nothing about them!! The background consists of the Irish Sea and mountains. Very many thanks for your interesting review!

what do you mean by saying you use levels and curves in photoshop? it makes for absolutely beautiful pictures, but i've never understood what that means :D

Glad you enjoyed my photo! I take my photos in the RAW format, edit them in RAW, then finally process them in photoshop. Using levels and curves adjusts the final brightness, shadows and clarity of the image. Hope this helps.
Comment from Terry Loftus
Cows are lovely creatures but I've never seen them by ocean. This is such a scenic view and the white color of the cows is a great contrast to the grass and the water.
