Well, this is a well timed still motion shot with a painterly feel backdrop.
Pin sharp focusing and subdued lighting.
Tall format framing captured the image greatly.

A stunning picture of this Great Blue Heron striding slowly into the water eyes peeled looking out for fish swimming below with it's perfect reflection seen in the foreground. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Beautiful capture, the great blue heron is in a wonderful pose, allowing a nice look at his side profile, this is of course, well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural. Nice detail in feathers, face and bill, good eye contact, beautiful red reflections and a mirror image of this beautiful bird! Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in the contest!
