I really like what you have done with this image. It almost has a paint-by-number look to it. You obviously started off with a really great shot. Shutter speed perfect for capturing the movement of the boat and the movement in the water. The variations in the sky is also really interesting. A very nice piece of work you have created.

Allan,
A beautiful picture of this yacht returning to harbour with an abstract background & sailing on an abstract sea. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera & editing techniques and sharp focus.

Interesting mixed media photography. I would put it under semi-abstract category as abstract deals with unrecognizable object. I like the pleasing blue colours and the light. Good luck in the contest!

I think the filters you used created an interesting appearance to the elements in the scene, and the colors work well together. The tilt to that boat does look ominous!

Thanks for the review, we land lubbers were very concerned for the boat and tourists on board. They made it back, but no doubt with stories of a lifetime!

Cool,Allan!
Your pleasantly enhanced photograph of this small sailing craft coming back in makes for a very interesting ( and enjoyable! ) picture,my friend!
After reading your notes I almost wonder if it's entire crew had vanished in some mysterious and 'Twilight Zone-ish' way! : D

Thanks Sean, I thought of the Twilight Zone also. I used to watch this show as a kid and it scared the bejesus out of me many times. Thanks for your review!

Very nice photo editing. It looks much like a lovely painting one might see in a gallery. The details and contrasting colors are spot on and perfect. Thanks for sharing.

This is a very good entry for the contest, it presents as an abstract work of art, I see the various shapes and color tones coming together to form the sky , the sea and the sailboat, carefully looking, I can see how the shapes come together in each part of this image. It presents as a painting . This would make a great puzzle that would be fun to put together. I like the straight horizon line and it's placement, this is well arranged and presented, Best wishes to you in the contest!

You have a very creative mind to create something like this. The Blues and the Greens of all different shades give it a sense of movement and depth. Very nice
