Excellent capture of this amazing animal

good angle of shot, focus, details and light handling and if it was taken trough a window while raining then it looks even better

thanks for sharing

I think that considering this was shot through a window in not the best lighting conditions, this came out quite well! He's a powerful looking buck and I like his pose here, this shows the texture of his fur his fur quite well too, nice detail in his face and good eye contact too, he's got a damaged rack and he's managing to get around with three legs. This is well composed and your notes are informative and interesting !

What an amazing story! He is such a beautiful creature. He has given you a very nice pose. Your white balance is a little off, but you can fix that by changing the color balance in your editing program to around 5200. I wanted to mention that in case you decide to enter any of your future shots of him in a contest, since he is so magnificent :)

It's worth a high score this not only is the photo a good one, well adjusted to suit the conditions it's an excellent story. So interesting and forms part of this picture. He is a handsom guy even with his injuries. His strength comes through in the angle shot and the colours and fur stand out very well. Congratulations this photo is great.

Lee Ann,
A beautiful picture of the stage that seems to have survived some rather horrific injuries & still be ready to keep the race going. I did not notice he leg until you pointed it out but his unequal anthers. If I still had a SIX Star rating to give him I would! all I can off is a Cyber SIX!
I'm sorry but I can't understand why anyone should want to kill them to stick their anthers on the wall to show off?
Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Thank you so very much for your wonderful review, and your cyber 6 is greatly appreciated, too! I am not a fan of trophy hunters, especially those who do not use the meat.Sadly more than once in my wanderings I have come across a carcass minus the head, obviously a buck with a nice rack, and for that reason only it was killed.

Wow,LeeAnn!
That creature has obviously 'been put through the wringer',hasn't he?
You're interesting picture oh him looks good as far as I'm concerned,my friend!

Thanks so very much for the great review! It is amazing sometimes what they go through and still survive and adapt. We first started feeding deer when we had a doe in our yard that was missing her lower right hind leg.despite the handicap, she could run surprisingly fast when she had to. We got to see her around for several years, and she always had twins in the spring.

A very nice shot. The head and antlers are in fine focus and the missing leg is clearly invisible. I like the snow and the great pose and find colors.
