I thought you Alaskans were made of sterner stuff than us mere mortals and am surprised to see that this playground isn't full of children. Seriously though, it is a very fine image. I love the frosted trees and benches and playground equipment adds a great element to the scene.

    Thanks so much Mike ! The elementary schools that have outdoor recess will have the if?s going out down to 10 below, colder then that it?s indoor recess, I can handle 1 below for about 15 minutes !

Yes, it does look a touch nippy out there! Your fine composition has captured a wonderful winter scene. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely done!

As I am reviewing your superbly photographed park setting in Winter picture, it happens to be snowing where I live in the state of Maryland. We are expected to get 5-8 inches of snow. In your 'Too Cold To Play' picture, the white snow covering the park looks so velvety and pristine. The soft colors of the play equipment are standouts among all the encompassing white snow. This Westchester Park is just a Spring season away from turning mostly green via the grass and trees, and the empty benches and play equipment being filled with social gatherings of adults, and children playing.

I love this photo. I love the snow covered trees. The majestic pines.
The pops of color in the playground adds great character and interest.
I do not blame the children for not playing there in the cold.
Nothing keeps you from obtaining a great image.
Really well accomplished.
This should be framed and hung on display for years to come by all the children who do play here on warmer days.

Wow this looks unbelievably cold. It does look very pretty though. The playground adds a nice pop of color. Your focus, framing, and lighting are all very good. Thanks for sharing this very cold day with us. I hope your New Year has been off to a good start. :)

Great job showing the cold! The snow and especially the frost looks wonderful. The pale blue color of the sky looks very nice with all the white of the snow throughout the scene.

I thought it is never too cold for Alaskans who are enjoying freezing températures; lol;
maybe there is too much snow to sit down and enjoy a pic nic;
a great winter scene perfectly taken;

Oh my goodness this is crazy! We had one storm so far. Calling for a little something tomorrow! This makes me dread when we do get slammed! This is really a neat looking photo! Makes me miss seeing kids outside having fun at the park!
