I think this is a fine entry into a contest like this, and the little mermaid is so lovely. I especially like the limited color pallet, and also the frame with curves to have added. It has the same "schwung" to it as the tail of the mermaid.

Your photo is also nice and sharp with clear and well defined details, and the exposure is very good.

The format and framing is perfect, and the mermaid has got a very good centered position. It is a lovely and well taken photo with a good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

What a clever entry for the Curves contest.
A lovely gift from your friend. I like how you used to design and imagination for the outline and continued curved lines and color.
A good entry. I wish you good luck in the voting.
This images does hit the mark for the contest requirements.

Well done! The curves of your frame coincide with her curved tail;and, also, offset the dots of her body scales, beautifully. The purple color around the statuette contrasts with her pear gray.
Cordially,

I received a mermaid statue as a gift this year as well. I like mermaids and anything nautical.
I like the curve of her tail the shell and her scallops on her curvy fin body.
Creative editing including curves.
Nicely done :)

You treatment of the framing worked well. The statue of the mermaid is cute. I'm surprised it wasn't in color though, although it's nice the way it is too. Good color choice for the border. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments. I converted the photo to black and white in order to emphasize themany curces inside her tail.

Really cool presentation. Really like the monotone color vs the bright mat purple. Good lighting and placement. Well done and good luck in contest

Just as woman should, mermaids are often depicted as curvaceous females. This adds even more curves with the seashell and circular waves in the framing. Nice rendition of curves. Good luck

Very creative use of what you have. the colour round the edge really give a central focus to the mermaid and ideas of waves and depths where she is from.
