A beautiful picture. A bird in natural surroundings. Weather he is arriving or leaving, is only known to nature. As the brown moss, captures the season. Beautiful photo.

Hello again,Barbara!
Here's another colorful and pleasantly amusing photograph that you've presented us with,my friend!
Your picture of this Mallard standing in the water with his wings raised in a 'V' is a lot of fun to look at! : )

He almost looks like a bowling pin with wings. Great definition in the lines of the wing feathers and the contrasting colors of the water behind him. Love this.

You snapped the shutter just in time to catch the open wings which adds a lot of interest. My son-in-law if a duck hunter and hunts this duck, but this year has been so warm all the ducks are staying north so he has not seen many this year.

I love looking at this beautiful majestic looking mallard duck picture that you have superbly photographed. I also admire the waves of the water that seems to simulate the gentle wings of the duck an infinite number of times.

Oh my.....good timing on getting this shot. I like how he's posing and looking right into your lens with wings spread. Very well photographed with good light handling, sharp focus, and wonderful details and clarity in your image. Beautiful reflection and beautiful natural colors. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing.

Oh what a nice one
Barbara. I have seen this behavior but never captured it in a photo. You did and it is Great. The wings are in a perfect position at the full stretch of his wings.
The full front on view really gives this one a nice bit of drama. Great use of available light.
Well done Barbara ~ Steve

A very nice shot. Although I believe a profile is generally more attractive, this head on perspective is perfect for this spread winged view. The cropping is very nice and the colors are beautiful.
