nice capture of this sleeping cat, but all the white background around him that looks almost over expose is a distraction

good luck with the contest and thanks for sharing

Aw what memories you must have of Kiki la Chatte. We had a cat growing up and although they are independent they 'allow' us to be around.

I have always thought that the Tortoiseshell coloring is the prettiest as the patterns of the colors just go together so well.

Very nice remembrance Susan ~ Steve

    Steve,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on Kiki la Chatte, I still miss her independent personality & that purr when she curled up on my knee. Juno has taken her place & though sh does not purr she has her own way of telling me she's happy.

She sounds like she was a beautiful girl - inside and out. Mama's girl. This is such a cute pose and a great view of her multicolored patchwork colors. I like how one eye and her cute little nose are peeking out between her paws.

Well, everyone deserves a good rest after a demanding night shift! How do I know this. Because my mother did them for many years! Exposure and sharpness are good. Well taken!

We'd actually call her a Calico rather than a TortoiseShell over here in the states,Susan! : )
Your photo of her taking a nap ( which is what my TortoiseShell cat,Cleopatra, is off doing right now! ) looks Great!

She is a beautiful calico , very similar to a calico that I once had , and from your notes, it sounds like their personalities were similar too! Well focused, clear image , perfect exposure, the colors are natural ! She's fast asleep and looks so comfortable ! Well presented!

A beautiful cat and a very fine shot. I like the curled up position that seems so popular among sleeping cats. Great colors and fine cropping. Best of luck in the contest.

    Mike,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on Kiki la Chatte sleeping in the sunshine on my bed dreaming of Mice.
When she went into the garden the pigeons would come right up to withing tree feet of her knowing they were safe.
She was too well fed to care about hurting them. My next cat Tiga, was a terrible mouse rat & bird killer nothing was safe.

a great and appropriate entry to the dog and cat contest with the sleepy Kiki la chatte; was she there when you got Madame Juneau?
good lighting with sharp details;

    fred,
Merci beaucoup mille fois for your review on Kiki la Chatte.
No poor Kiki la Chatte died of old age & cancer three years before I got Juno. Then I had Tiga~Puss a massive & very handsome Tabby Cat the day he was killed on the road. I took Tiga's broken body to the Vet & half an hour later I was driving home with the tiny abandoned in the street ---- Madame Juno~Dog aged just 7 weeks!
