Great photo of this classic little English type Robin with the glistening magenta berries! These robins are the embodiment of avian innocence! Thanks for sharing! Daphne Oberon

    Daphne,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this European Robin ~Irish subspecies in the Siberian Crabapple tree with the red apples still clinging to the tree...I left half the crop on the tree for the wintering birds as they are high in sugar. The Blackcaps & Blackbirds especially like them.

You have pictured this little beauty so well Susan, and I especially that the twig he is sitting has red berries. It adds a lot of interest to the photo. The background is also nicely softened for the bird to stand out in an excellent way.

Your photo is pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the bird. Also the exposure is spot on.

The cropping is perfect and the bird is has got a very good placement off to the right. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken shot of a Robin, and with an excellent DOF.

    Annie,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this cheeky courting Robin chasing around after it's mate who was sitting on a lower branch. The "berries" are in fact tiny Siberian Crabapples.

Adorable Susan! I especially like the "cherry" like balls framing this Handsome Robin out.
Focus on the bird is sharp and eye clarity is Fab. I have wishes for a softer background, but still a gorgeous shot of this wee bird.

what a beautiful shot, with the buds on the trees and the bright red fruits, no wonder they are confused. We have had not one day of frost yet, and my apple tree is the same, covered in buds and some of my bushes still have flowers on them. He looks kind of startled, but that is his usual 'come-hither' look. Maybe he is young, so IS startled. Beautiful photo.

    Renate,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this cheeky Robin in the Siberian Crabapple Tree with it's mate perched ut of the frame on a lower branch. The Apples are just a little larger than a Cherry.

ah that is interesting, in China we had some small apples which everyone ate, not crab apples, no more than an inch in diameter but very tasty /sweets are expensive there, because of the sugar/ These sound like a variation of those.

Nice shot here Susan. Such a pretty little bird and you have captured him so well. Nicely framed and a great POV. The colors are sharp and well rendered.

The three red berries add such a nice touch to this scene. Very well done Susan ~ Steve

Beautiful photograph of the Robin, great focus, light and presentation. You have captured the orange/red of his breast really well and against the red of the berries makes you realise the different shades of red you can get. Thank you for sharing.
