It is a beautiful horse you have pictured here, and by your editing, the photo almost has a painterly look. Especially the shiny eye is well captured, and you have also brought out the fine textures of the mane and skin really well.
The horse is standing out sharp and well defined against the nicely softened background, and also the exposure is very good.
I like the way you have cropped the photo, and also the placement of the horse off to the right. A truly lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

This is lovely. You have created such an attractive painterly appearance to the scene. The horse is beautiful :) I really like how subtle the background looks and how the horse stands out in such a prominent way.
