Dan,
A beautiful & interesting view of this one of the Wonders of the world visible from space with a very long history attached to it. Thanks for bring us with you to see it. Beautiful composition, framing & soft blurred & misty background taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck inthe contest.

This photo is very impressive. It gives a good view of the curve and the castle-tower. We get an impression of how the wall was constructed. The textures of the stones at the outside, the stones of the street and the protective masonry on the sides of the street are excellent. The photo has good depth, is balanced and well framed.

This is a very amazing photo. The wall and the road appear to be painted into the middle of this wonderful mountain scene. The coloring of the vegetation is beautifully fall for October. Thanks for sharing.

    I believe that the bricks had been recently re-mortared. This is what gives the photo the appearance of a painting. Thank you very much for your comments. Much appreciated.

Must be something to see this place and it has been shown on loads of travel programmes,pity the weather was slightly against you and will say the top where the mist is does appear a tad light,maybe crop just a tad off,i might have tried to get a lower viewpoint in order to make the wall a much stronger feature,but other than that a nice enough photo...Brian

A very nice entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and traditional composition does good job of presenting us with a good view of this section of the wall. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely taken!

This is a good entry for this contest, good leading line with the wall , beautiful autumn colors in the foliage , nice detail in the texture and structure of the wall, nice angle of shot. This is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed on this cloudy, overcast day, colors and tones appear natural . Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in the contest!

Fine entry for this contest Dan.
Your focus is sharp, Exposure controlled and your POV offers a fine leading line with the wall as well as vanishing perspective as we are led in and down the path.
Fine shooting on a flat light foggy day.

I think this is a beautiful scene and composed in an excellent way. The curves of the landscape make for a visually pleasing journey through the image, up and over the bridge, with a good leading lines. The colors are also very nice. The image looks a lot like a painting.

    Thank you. I have had other say it was a painting. I think it is because if the mortar between the bricks on the walkway coming from the center of the image. Appreciate your review.

a great and appropriate entry Dan to the "man touched landscape" contest; unfortunately one of the many places I didn't visit;
