Each individual feather of your blue gray heron is visible in his fully spread wings.Body and tail feathers,the same. The mauve background,and,grass with branches,where he is,completes a well done composition.

This is a wonderful capture. Love how he has his wings all spread out so you can see the details in them. The water's edge makes a good contrast and adds interesting textures. Well focused and lighting is excellent. Good luck in the contest.

Great entry for the contest! Love this backside view of this heron,wings spread wide,preparing to land.Like the texture seen in the back feathers,it's almost like it has a short cape resting on it's shoulders. this makes for an interesting image!

The detail of the birds plumage is tack sharp. In fact it looks like the heron has it's air brakes on! I have never noticed that before! Good color rendition. It's to bad that you couldn't catch the bird's reflection in the lake, that would have been spectacular! Well done.
