This makes me laugh. He looks like he is mad at something. The coloring all around works well to give it a cold feel and I love how it is framed with the beak balancing everything out.

A beautiful close up of the Grey Heron posing for your on this windy day. Superb eye clarity....I like how well your captured the eye drawing us into your shot. Very well photographed with good lighting, sharp focus revealing wonderful details and clarity on the feathers and markings of this gorgeous bird. Your diffused background soft yet bright compliments your work beautifully. Outstanding photography and thanks for sharing. Love this!

Excellent close-up of this heron and even though its colour slightly blends with the water colour it stills stands out enough, good detail in its feathers...Brian

A very nice portrait . I like the way the tuft of feathers on his head is standing up and the tight cropping. The eye is quite sharp and the colors are great.

Fred,
A beautiful profile portrait of this Grey Heron head down at shoulder level golden eye searching straight ahead ready to go into action at a seconds notice. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting showing off the most minute details of it's head & face, taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Ooh! You get the feeling of it being windy in this lovely capture of the Grey Heron. He looks a bit grumpy, whether at the weather or you taking your photo! Excellent lighting and focus showing a beautifully clear image. Very good composition. Suzanne

What a gorgeous profile shot of the grey heron. He is standing so still like he is really staring at something. Well postioned within the frame. Good focus and lighting. Awesome capture.

A good day for drying off then! Your fine composition allows us an enjoyable look at your heron. Like that long sharp beak. Sharpness and exposure are fine for a dull looking day. Nicely done!

What a great expression looking a bit disgruntled no doubt as he stands against the wind. I like the pose you captured especially the focus on head and shoulders of his
wings. The details have come out very clear and I love his beak. A great shot.
