This is beautiful and a bit disturbing because it looks indeed like fire blazing behind the mountains. The sky and the light reminds me of the wildfires I have seen which destroyed whole villages. You captured this like a report of natures beauty and forces. The photo is exquisitely balanced. It is intriguing haw the lighter colors above change into darker colors below. Having the triangular shape of the valley right of center balances the photo perfectly.

Very cool capture! Actually one could imagine this fiery sky above the barren mountains as being on another planet,or perhaps a place in Dante's Inferno.The texture of the clouds and mountains gives this photo a painterly look that is quite pleasing!

It almost looks like a Master painting with the textures and tones in the clouds.
I am such fan of sunsets as you know. No two are ever the same and each one has a unique quality that is often beyond description.
