This is a nice shot, Susan! You captered perfectly this hungry Blue Tit. He does like Crab Apples! You were fortunate to see this through the patio door. This little guy moves quickly.
I also like the frame you have created. It's barely noticable, which is good, we need to focus on the main subject, not the frame. It's amazing that somewhere so worm, green leaves during the winter season. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful image!!!

Looks like he likes crab apples. The bird has nice colors that makes him stand out well among the branches. Well focused and lighting is good.

I think you did a rather good job of photographing this cute little bird,I believe they are your version of our chickadees, that are constantly flitting around in search of food, and maddeningly hard to photograph! I like his coloration As well as that eye stripe,I think he stands out well against the green foliage, and those red crab apples are a nice spot of color in your image. This probably would have looked good in a vertical format also.A very pleasing image of this sweet little bird!

You have captured him right nice in there. I feel as if the greenery shows up the bird just a bit. He is a very nice color against the greenery in the back.

    Jo,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Blue Tit in among the red Siberian Crabapples that I leave on the tree for the birds (I made jelly with half the crop) We've had no snow so far in Dublin but are expecting some tomorrow or friday.

nice capture of the bird, but part of his body is over expose and the huge negative and busy area around him makes him look lost on the background

thanks for sharing

You did get the nice light in the eye and I like how his colors look. The red apples stand out nicely too and add an appealing extra pop of color. Those little birds are so cute.
