A beautiful Macro shot of the caterpillar shaped frozen ice. Good artists notes and I like the storytelling with your photography. Very well photographed with good light handling, sharp focus, and wonderful details and clarity in your image. Your diffused background and choice of wide aperture give your a lovely field of bokeh. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing!

Amazing, those ice crystals, frozen together look indeed like a caterpillar crunching on the twig. You have a photographers eye and heart, spotting the unusual and being ready with your camera. The photo is sharp and has a nice shallow depth. The branch and the icy caterpillar have good dept and natural colors. The diagonal arrangement is eye-pleasing. The composition is balanced and the framing is adequate.

You have a good eye Nancy, because this little ice formation indeed looks like a caterpillar climbing up the twig. Your background is perfectly softened for the twig and ice to stand out in an excellent way.

Your photo is also pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen. I also think both the white balance and the exposure is spot on.

The cropping is very good, and I like the diagonal placement of the twig within the frame. This of course makes for a good and well balanced composition. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

This is great!! It does resemble a caterpillar! You did a great job capturing sharp detail of the ice with good exposure and clarity, and I like how you blurred the background which really puts the emphasis on your unique and creative subject :)
