Who says that caterpillars cannot be cute ? This one is a little beauty with the great colors, and all the spikes. I really like that the background is blue, because it goes so well together with the colors of the caterpillar.
It is standing out sharp and well defined against the background, and the light is falling on it in such a lovely way.
I like the format you have cropped the photo into, and also the placement of the caterpillar within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo with a good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Beautiful capture of this caterpillar, well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones are natural. Nice clear detail is easily seen throughout . Well composed allowing a good close look at this caterpillar. Well presented, Best wishes to you in the contest!
