a wonderful close up of this green heron (I would called him brown), a species we don't have in Europe; very nice colors:

Thank you very much Donna for the grand rating and your nice comments! I like these birds too. I usually drop what I'm doing and try to locate them when I hear their call. Sange likes to give me grief for being so easily distracted by animals, butterflies, snowflakes, etc.. lol :)
