A beautiful & for me unusual picture of stacked Ice Plates along the shores of lake Superior with the misty outlines of the city of Duluth seen along the horizon. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

I have always wanted to go to the north shore in the winter to see this!! Still haven't had the chance to do it. Lucky you. This is a marvelous shot of the ice plates. A great contest entry :) I like how well the ice stands out and how you captured the colors so nicely. I like that you included the lift bridge in the background too!

I love the ice plates on the lake ! This is a beautiful scene! Well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones appear natural, nice placement of the horizon allowing more space for the frozen lake. Well presented!

Yes, this a stunning photo! Dufferent shades of Cold blue ahainst grayish horizon makes this image unique. Auto adjustments of photos make sometimes unpredictable results. I like the composition and presentation of this one. The ice plates are amazing! !!

This is very interesting to see. The colors are pretty. This would be an excellent place for a polar bear plunge. I bet this water would take your breath away, not to mention what the ice would do. I enjoyed looking at this!
