This landscape provides a super palette of patterns, textures and colors. Everywhere you look there is a richly colored pattern to view. I like the bit of blue sky showing on the horizon too.

Good contrast and saturated colours here.Angle of shot is good, I would of shown more of the backdrop.

It is an impressive landscape you have pictured here and it seems like it is going on forever even if we a glimpse of sky in the very background. I especially like how well you have captured the fine textures in this rocky area, and also the different colors of the different layers.

Your photo is nice and sharp showing such clear and well defined details all over, and the exposure is perfect.

The photo is nicely cropped and I actually like how this special landscape is filling almost the whole frame. A truly great looking and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

An interesting picture of the Badlands stretching as far as the eye can see of the time eroded rocky landscape. The strata layers exposed coloured by their minerals & polution at the time they were laid down. In the centre a rusty coloured Iron rich layer is visible. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

I went through the Badlands in daytime and at night. At dusk, the badlands takes on a eerie look. Love the rough windblown look of the landscape and variation in color. Well focused and lighting is good. Wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you for your review. I agree, this park is very eerie after sunset.

That is landscape that goes on and on and on. The trans and browns are neatly arranged by the little creases of shadow. I see a reddish light floating horizontally across like a ribbon. Is that natural? Very interesting skyline a horizon that actually dips to the right slightly. The sky looks white. And it meets solid black land. Cool shot.

In an attempt to make the plateau in the upper third of the image as level as possible i may have not paid as much attention to the horizon. I will have to revisit the horizon. The colors are natural and in fact in other areas of the park where the strata is yellow and greenish. It is a unique area of the USA and if you are driving out to Mt. Rushmore and points west. you need to spend a day in the Badlands.
