It is indeed a colorful butterfly you have captured here, and it is standing out so well against the soft green background. This is also a photo with a strong visual impact because of all the vibrant colors.
The photo is nice and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the butterfly and the leaf it is sitting on, and the exposure is very good.
The tight cropping has worked well, and the butterfly has got a good placement off to the right. A truly lovely and well taken close up with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
