Love it!!! The blue color is my favorite it almost looks like a 3 D photo the round shape gives a unique shape. Congratulations well done will love to see if you have more like this done

First of all I think this is a cool and colorful creation. I totally understand why you didn't crop out the excess. The boat form against water and sky is great. The Shading is good. The details is good. The blend of the colors is great. I'm just confused over one thing..is this boat flying in the air? Even though it is in a slight slant indicating that it is make a turn but there is no waves..not a ripple. It could have given it that extra ump that would pull out those 6's stars that it would have deserved. Still creative work and good job overall

Thanks so much for viewing and commenting. The trimaran is dry on a sandbank.. The sandbank is not flat but like a small hill therefore the boat has tilted. The water has gone out. People use this area to clean the bottom of their boats. We are also on a sandbank looking at this that is how I painted Twilight. But we are on a flat bank and perfectly straight. The sandbanks shift and move shapes so often a boat will tilt until the tide comes in.

I live the soft colors and the framing if the porthole. I don't think your photo does your painting justice as focus is a tad soft and the crop is tight.
The water color and highlights are beautiful.

Thank you for reviewing. You are right about the photo not up to scratch. The painting is in Portugal and I am in the UK. The comp came up and this was the only record I had of it on my mobile. I did try and sharpen it but it was not so good so left it .. bad timing for the comp may be I should have waited for next time round.

I was not pointing it out to be critical. Artists here have to paint and learn Photography.. I just do Photography.
I can see it's a lovely painting despite the crop and soft focus.

Yes I know .. I took it as a positive and find the photographers on this sight so helpful. I now look for so many possibles when I take a shot that might improve things that I would never have thought about. Hints that are really useful/helpful.
