This is amazing. One can tell it has a much different look than a lion in a zoo setting. This big cat is focused on its prey very intently. The whole success of this image is based on the lions eyes and stare. You captured them in a nice sharp focus. The open mouth and shart teeth add to the drama of the shot.

I love the composition of the image. Roughly half lion and half background.

One really minor thing, it would be nice to clone out the dark spot on the upper right edge of the image, but like I say, minor.

Well done, one of my favorites on the FAR site in a long time.

I am just starting to work with the post photography editing tools. A little behind the curve there. I think you are right about the dark spot and maybe a little too much dead space on the right.
But I really appreciate your review and taking the time to make meaningful comments. And thank you so much for the rating.

"Nice Kitty Kitty" She has a very intense look on her face. Your luck with the sun paid off as the lighting is good casting interesting shadows. I have a big eighteen pound cat and he looks just like this he he is focused on a squirrel. Excellent presentation and focus.
Nice close up and very well framed.

I thinks cats are cats and though they vary in size and prey they have very similar characteristics. It was a lucky shot and I am now learning how to take shots by design not by luck. I think this will be a rather lengthy process but worth it. Thank you so much for the wonderful review!

This is neat to see. It looks like you could reach out and pet her. I do like the look of it. I like the fact it was taken in the wild. Most pictures you see like this is taken at the zoo. Nice shot!

Thanks Willie! I have never had much luck getting photos at the zoo. Always a bar or person in the way. She was close enough to touch but we were in our jeep. She walked in front of us.

This lion looks like it looking at a prey, and ready to pounce on it. I like the way you left the lion on the left of the photo. It shows action coming. good job.

Thank you Bremi, I have learned that if you have a really good subject it makes for a good picture. She was a really good subject, so at least half the credit goes to her!!

This is a great close-up of this lioness. She looks hungry and ready for lunch. It must have been an awesome experience to see the wildlife up close. As a new photographer you did a great job capturing the intense look in her eyes up close.

You did very well for being new to photography. The close-up really shows all her details and she does look as though she is ready to pounce on something. Well focused and lighting is good.

Thank you JGrace. Yes I am new to both art and photography. Truly a neophyte compare to most of you. That is why I am here. I am just learning how to use photshop, which was applied to this picture and it was on automatic setting. Camera was smarter than I was but I am learning Thank you for your comments
