"Good thing they caught me. Now i don't have to go rummaging through stinky trash cans" See the smile on his face. He is a happy camper. Great photo with terrific focus and lighting. Very well cropped and well framed.

It almost looks like he has a smile on his face. You really captured the most perfect look on his face here. Your focus, framing, and lighting are all good. Well done and thanks for sharing this wonderful photo with us. :)

I thought it was your teddy bear when you were a little girl; lol;
a very good portrait in full sunshine with sharp details;
a good idea to capture the grizzli in a zoo rather than meet him in the nature;

Judging from his size he seems to enjoy a good meal too. A well composed close up with sharp eyes and beautiful color. A treat to see although I would not like to find him on my front porch.

This is a wonderful portrait of a Grizzly. When we go for hiking in one of the "bear county" there's a chance to meet some of them. As wild animals, they can be aggressive. Especially mother bear with her cubs! The photo of Haines is cool with superb quality! Looks like you had to add some gray on top. Fantastic job hiding the fence marks. Awesome work, Grace!!!

    Thank you Lucas :) No fence for these guys, they are behind very smudgy thick glass :) Actually several years ago, one of the other bears here Kenai) picked up a fifty pound rock from the bottom of the pool and shattered one of the panes of glass. They have since reinforced the area :)

I wish you would mention in your notes that you had to take this through thick dirty zoo glass. That challenge alone makes this an incredible capture, not to get glare or Reflections.
Love this close tight Head shot of this sweet Bear.
Fine focus, eye clarity, details and great look into your lens.
He is so cute I can't BEAR IT!
:) Well done Greenie

Great capture Grace.

I love the look in his eyes and his beautiful fur.

Nice closeup, Grace. I spent some time in Haines some years back and there was a bear that came our every afternoon just outside of town. Maybe we've met. Really well done photograph.

Wonderful close up of this Grizzly Bear! He really does look happy and also like he's smiling for the camera. The great light and excellent sharpness show his face and the texture of his fur so well.

Grace,
A beautiful picture of Haines the Grizzly bear cooling off in the Zoo's pool with one eye watching you closely, his mouth slightly open as if about to say something. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
