Wonderful initial impression: the hyacinth is just starting to bloom, the five petals are unfolding , I love the purple tones and especially appreciate the purple and green tones in combination , the two colors are beautiful together, this is very realistically created , you show the glassbowl where this flower is contained, the table that it is placed on and the background gives a sense that there are more hyacinths in back. This is very well created and arranged and a true pleasure to view! Well presented!

Thank you very much for your encouraging review. There are indeed more Hyacinths in the back and a few other plants. :o)

What a soft beautiful watercolor effect in this digital art piece of a spring crocus.
I love the muted crocus in the background and the soft highlights hitting the inside petals.
Just beautiful.

I usually like so much this stage of the plant, because it is so full of promise of what to come, and this little bloom has the most fantastic purple colors. I do however feel that the background could have been better this time. It us a tad busy with the all white area on the left.

Still your brush strokes are as elegant as ever, and the flower is done paying very good attention to details. Also very good use of high lights.

The format and framing works well and the plant has got a fine placement on the picture. All together a lovely and well done Digital Painting Cleo.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments and your input. I might did go a bit far with experimenting this time. I will try to take the white of the vase and business down. :o)

You are more than welcome Cleo, and I think it is OK to experiment a bit.

Sometimes I got so cut up in my experiments that I do not see mistakes. It's easier to see the splinter in sombody elses work than the tree in ones own.

    You are so right Cleo.

Beautifully done! I like the soft pastel-like colors that you have blended together. The details are fantastic. I like how it really does look like an oil painting. I am trying to learn a little bit about digital artwork but at the moment I can't afford any expensive programs. Could you recommend some free or inexpensive programs for me to check into? Great job here and thanks for sharing. :)

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments. I have no experiences with free programs. I think the program I am using, Art Rage by Ambient design, is one if the inexpensive on the market. I think they have even a trail with limited features for free. It is available as download on the Internet.

Very pretty brush strokes. It looks like spring has started to bloom in the room. The dark green compliments with softer greens in the back ground. I love the soft glass shapes of the vases. Beautiful shade of lavender and purple. Very realistic.

This is a beautiful digital painting of a Hyacinth. The softness of the painting is so appealing! The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!
