A nicely composed image with good detail in the dog. I think the water is a bit more highly manipulated than I would like and the blue is over saturated. Best of luck in the contest.

Thank you very much for your encouraging review and your critic. The water is not manipulated. The entire background is replaced. I will change the color to a lighter shade soon the contest has ended.

I don't think it is disrespectful. I actually think it is rather cute and shows great creativity. I am not so sure the background you created is the best, but this is of course a matter of taste.
The photo of the dog is nice and sharp and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the dog. It is nothing wrong with the exposure either.
The photo is nicely cropped and the dog is well placed within the frame. It is a great looking and well taken photo with a creative edit, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments and your critical input. I tried to put something into the background which could resemble water or sky. This is an entry for the song-title contest. I thought that would go better with the song lyrics [hangin' on] than the unattractive dry grass of the original photo.

I understood that this should look like water, but it would look so much nicer with the same blue colour as the dog's coat. The color you have used is almost too strong and is stealing attention from the dog. You are of course more than welcome for the review, and I totally agree that grass would not have been the best.

Thank you very much for your encouraging review. The background was grass, but I changed to somthing which could be water or sky. I thought this would go better with the song lyrics. The rules recomended the song title as troitle for the contest entry.
