This is a beautiful frame for a wonderful monument. One of my favorites - oh what a tangled web we weave, and, Revenge, the sweetest morsel to the mouth that ever was cooked in hell. The background colors and the birds are perfect complimenting elements to this lovely image.

I just voted for this, so here I am to add a bonus star now because this is absolutely stunning.
Your oil painting filter must be way better than Topaz. This truly looks like a painting. The textures, slight painterly softness, highlights and the framing are all so lovely. A winner hands down.
Excellent photo turned into a wall hanging worthy painting.
Well done and Congratulations in advance!

Very nice framing. The colors in the sky make a perfect backdrop for the statue. And, the contrast between the sky and the statue and the birds is great.
Nice photo.

Wonderful capture. I like the depth of the image and the background. The image seems a bit soft in its focus but that may be on purpose to evoke a mood. Very well done.

Excellent composition!Your Gothic arch and columns frame Sir Walter Scott, beautifully. The mauve to blue sky, with flying birds,is,also,a tribute to this master novelist and poet.

Great use of the arch to frame this beautiful statue! I love how you captured the birds flying around the statue. The blue and magenta colors in the background are lovely. Great entry for the contest! Best of luck!

A very good entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and classical composition makes excellent use of the arch to frame the statue of that famous author. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!
