Your artwork really works because there's an obvious subject. I like the detail you put into the facial expression so it's really clear. Maybe you could add a reflection of the tree it fell out of in the eyes? Unfortunately my eye is drawn to the tail and away from the face because it seems out of place compared to the feeling of the rest of the piece. I really like the shadow and the technique you used for the grass so it doesn't over power the rest of the image.

Ok youngins..I'm not an artist..I'm a cartoonist/illustrator..the difference is an artist is always trying to express themselves kinda like how your trying to review me..as an a cartoonist/illustrator all we do is tell a story. Oh btw this is a 8x5".. those eyes are a 16th of an inch. I'll admit I can do some detail but don't think I can do what you are suggesting with the eyes. I create illustrated music videos.. your just seeing a piece of one video in the making. Your invited to go to YouTube and search "MKFlood Presents" and check out any my numerous music videos. Thanks for the sucky review.

I like how you can create great impact with your cartoons, Mark, even with a limited colour palette. This is another great piece - as always, full of detail with excellent facial expression on the squirrel. Love the little toes and the small shadow so he must be falling from a great height. Great cartoon. Suzanne

Man this guy looks like he is having a really bad day.

The title says "Fallen" but the drawing looks like he is "Falling". I am only going by the fluffed up tail and the shadow on the ground. Reminds me of Jump School as we came down and it always bugged me to see my shadow as I came closer to the ground. Knowing that when the two came together you better be ready to do a PLF or get your butt or head busted.

Anyway cool scene Mark. Keep 'em coming ~ Top

I felt when I was repelling. I was teasing this ranger that we wait for the plane lands till we get it out. My Top was nearby and hollered "you realize we are set up for jump!".."top we ain't been thru jump school"..he smiled and said.."war time situation you will get a crash course!".. later on they me and a few others doing repelling course at medicine bluff..still coming off of a huey is a lil different..lol..I always got picked for advanced party..maybe I had that face.."let's see if this one survives"look..lol. thanks for the awesome review Top

Oh darn, the squirrel ever Denteley got what it deserves. The only thing I can think of is its tail is on fire, if that's not it, your meaning isn't clear to me. I think this is the only one I've had trouble deciphering. But I love the expression. Well I do see the little shadow on the ground maybe he shot way up in the air is that it? So he got blown up, Up being the operative word here LOL

Well Mark I had to laugh at this one, that face tells it all!
Even the body language and pose tells its own story I bet you were having a joke and a laugh whilst you were painting this I know I would have done!

I love the facial expression on the rodent, and the position of the hands. I think this is the focus of the image. I do not have a clue what the subject has fallen on.
Additionally the little black "shadow" is distracting. The problem is this a portion of a series of images or just stand alone? The colors are vibrant.

Gee Dan..I don't know about your area but if you're falling to the ground there is a shadow on the ground below..well it does in my area..wink..I don't blame you for not having a clue why this squirrel is falling .it's like coming into a middle of a TV show and not understand wants going on .this time you're lucky..scroll back on the portfolio and the story in progress will be revealed..wink ..see Dan I'm not an artist..I'm not out there trying to express myself..I'm just a lil ole cartoonist/illustrator who works only with sharpie and Bic pens and tells stories.. every drawing tells a story and they all link to a bigger story..then I work with musicians to collaborate their music with my sharpie/Bic cartoons. If you get the time, I do invite you to check any of those videos out on YouTube.com. just search "MKFlood Presents". They are a wide range of music and topics/stories. Some will make you laugh...some will make you tap your foot, some will make you think and some might even make you cry. The admission is free but you have to bring your own snacks...mine taste flat..wink.. thanks for the review

That is me, finding out that the Ministries are not allowing us to sue for our what a corrupt lab has done and keeps on doing for endless years. The intriguing bit is that little black shadow. Is that far in the distance, the same problem over and over again, as 'horror' sits on a grassy field /?/ or someone coming to calm him. No, the tail is splayed so it is a shadow.. hmmm Perfect drawing.

Fallen flat on his back. Ouch! I hope his bushy tail cushioned him. This cartoon is full of humour, wants you to seek out how he fell so a continuing take to be told (or sung). Great expression. Good colour balance and impacting. Fine drawing and imagination in place.

Poor squirrel,I bet the crow is having a good laugh! Great depiction of terror on this falling squirrel's face-gravity can be such a BITCH!!! Your inclusion of a tiny squirrel shadow gives this image perspective, the squirrel has quite a ways to go.Wonderful bright colors add to the enjoyment of this creation!
