There eyes always crack me up as they have that look of surprise/ fear.
Nice eye clarity, colors, details all with a clean non distracting details.

Such a beautiful portrait, this should have been at the top, or a potential winner. I love the angle, and the clarity of the details of the eyes. The background, without any distraction, given more reason to be a good portrait of this dove. An excellent capture. Sometimes, the voting numbers looks weird in this contest, especially that there is a parrot that's black and white, and the contest requires no edit.

I think that the parrot was photographed in black and white, which is allowed.

So this is the bird that Stevie Nicks was making reference to her in her 1982 song :) I have not seen this type of dove before and I think it is very pretty. Your exposure brings out the lovely color of the eye and the blue around the eye. I think your background harmonizes well with the colors of the bird.

A beautiful picture of this White Winged Dove with it's blue mask around it's amber eyes watching you closely & white on it's wings leading edge & tail tip. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

This is a truly beautiful dove with the blue area around the eye which you have captured so well, and it is also lovely the way the light is falling on the bird. I like very much the color of the background, and the bird is standing out from it in an excellent way.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and the exposure is perfect.
I like the way you have cropped the photo and also the placement of the bird within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

The background was a lucky gift of circumstances. It is a wall of a near building in which had just the right color.
