Lol..was she mad at him? Lol. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this chubby lil bird is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

I like this one. I have never seen this one. You call it a black cap. I assume the male is the one with the black head. I like it but I think you cold have cropped a bit more and had the bird more off center. Still a nice shot!

Willie,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this female Blackcap (the male's cap is jet black) in the Rose bush beside the Ivy on the fence. I cropped as close as I could before loosing focus; it was taken at half Zoom.

Hard to imagine that she was frolicking around at high speeds in your garden from this peaceful photo! But that is the way of nature and photography!! Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely done!

Another sweet bird in your garden which you have captured so well. Especially the eye. I also think the green foliage offers a lovely background, and the little bird is standing out from it in an excellent way.
Your focus on the bird is spot on and sharp with clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and a perfect exposure.
The format and framing is very good and the bird has got a fine placement a bit off to the right. A truly lovely and well taken photo Susan, and with a very good DOF.

I think you did a great job getting sharp clear detail of this little bird. Her cap is much lighter than the male. I think her coloring is prettier. I like how you caught her all puffed up.

Such a pretty little bird, the female blackcap shows beautuful detail in her soft feathers, I love her creamy color with the almost orange toned head and the pretty wing color. This is well focused , the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones are natural.nice detail and good eye contact! Well composed and presented!

Pat,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this little female Blackcap..I wish they would breed in Ireland as well as spending the winter here...they fly south in late spring to Germany & other parts of mainland Europe to breed.

AH! Love is in the air as they chase each other around the bush. Makes you want to know why . Is it a mating thing they do before she lays her eggs? She is a pretty little bird and you have captured her nicely. Great lighting and awesome focus. Wonderful presentation
with great depth.

A beautiful little bird in a fine, if somewhat overgrown setting. Her colors are superb and the feather detail is excellent. A great shot of this beautiful little lady.

Thanks a million for your complementary review on the female bBlackcap in the RoseBush & Ivy (Both in need of pruning I was let down twice once because the garden had a more lucrative job & the other time by the wet weather...it will get done but not just yet.
