He is a beauty for sure! Nice close up allowing a good view of his feathers, face and beak, good eye contact. This is well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, his colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in the contest!

I think this is a great looking rooster, and even with the serious look you can see who is the boss. The light is falling on him in such a lovely way, and with the nicely softened background, he is standing out from it in an excellent way.
Your photo is nice and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and the exposure is perfect.
The tight cropping is working well, and the rooster has got a fine placement within the frame. A lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
