He obviously did not want his picture taken. :) Seriously, good capture of the landing. Your lighting is clear and sharp. Great focus. Nice surroundings in his habitat. Nice wing span. I love watching the herons that land in the retention pond behind my house. They are so graceful and fun watch as they catch the frogs and bugs in the pond.

Very nice! Don't you just love to see these beautiful birds. When they move it is a sight to see. I spend hours at a time looking for them and waiting for them to perform for me! I know this is a gray but they look the same to me. I wish you could have gotten his head.

Bird hollers.."don't shoot im not armed! I'm winged"..lol. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this spread winged bird is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

A beautiful stop action picture of the Grey Heron lading onto the tree stump it's wing still held out hiding most of it's head. Beautiful stop action composition, framing & natural lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
