This is a very interesting looking little guy. I like the two toned coloring of his fur. I like how well you captured the colors. He does look a little like a guinea pig and his head reminds me a little of the shape of a beaver's head.

An interesting looking animal that has not made it to Michigan yet. Maybe with global warming and all I might be seeing them soon. A well composed shot with fine detail and great color.

I have always wondered how an Agouti looks, because the closest I have got to it is through doing Crossword. Since it is an orange it is eating, it must be quite a big rodent, and I also think it is rather cute munching away. I especially like how lovely the light is falling on the animal, and also how well it is standing out from the even green background.

Your photo is of course also nice and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of the animal, and the exposure is spot on.

The way you have cropped the photo is perfect, and so is the placement of the Agouti within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo Jo, and with an excellent DOF.

thank you Annie for a helpful review, I had never seen one of these before captured it at a local wildlife park, they are about the size of a cat and can run very fast.

This is different! It looks a little like a squirrel. I have never seen one, I guess since I've never been in this part of the world explains it! Good job.

This is an interesting little animal, it's one that I have not seen or even heard of before!he kind of resembles a squirrel except for the tail. This is well photographed with good focus, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural. He seems to be enjoying the orange.well composed and presented!

Excellent artist notes about the animal, but the photo need to have the colors and contrast adjust, the animal body is too bright and partially over expose

nice composition and angle of shot

thanks for sharing

Jo,
A beautiful picture of this Agouti busy enjoying an orange. The light highlighting it's beautiful ticked fur with black tips a type of fur that is named after the Agouti itself. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
